Mercury® 9.9hp Command Thrust ProKicker outboards are purpose built for trolling, making them the perfect fishing partner. The heavy-duty Command Thrust gearcase pairs with a larger-diameter prop to provide additional thrust, handling and durability for V-hull boats or scenarios where you need to move a heavy load. Their Mercury-exclusive centering straps automatically lock the kicker in place when tilted up to protect it when trailering or running in rough water. Includes prop. Fishing-first design engineered for dialing in precise low-speed trolling presentations. Oversized gearcase features a lower gear ratio and larger prop for increased thrust and better control. Includes high-thrust four-blade prop for refining trolling speeds. 6-amp alternator helps keep battery system charged. Convenient electric start. Can be mounted to either side of the transom. Exclusive centering straps automatically lock in the outboard when trimmed up. Standard power tilt and trim for easy deployment. Smooth and quiet operation. Low-hassle maintenance thanks to an easy-drain gearcase, easy-access oil filter and lifetime maintenance-free valve train. NOTE: When you unpack your engine, please follow the "Engine Break-In Procedure," which is outlined inside your engine operation and maintenance manual. First, look over your engine before starting. Then, fill it with engine oil, and check its gear lube level. Next, ensure the propeller is included and secure. Lastly, be sure to review your Mercury Marine Limited Warranty, and your Customer Delivery Inspection (CDI) process should be logged on Mercurymarine.com. Failure to comply with the engine break-in procedure can result in severe engine damage not covered by Mercury Marine Limited Warranty. Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's do not accept returns of any Mercury gas motors once gas or oil has been added, or Mercury electric motors once the motor has been installed or battery charged. Motors that meet this criteria must be taken to an authorized service center for repair, which may be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Due to hazmat restrictions, with potential fuel/oil added to the unit, we are unable to accept returns. All returns must be handled through the manufacturer. Outboard manufacturers do not recognize or provide model years for their engines. Due to this, model year designations on purchase documentation will vary by state and financial institution.
