Failure to comply with the engine break-in procedure can result in severe engine damage not covered by Mercury Marine Limited Warranty. Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's do not accept returns of any Mercury gas motors once gas or oil has been added, or Mercury electric motors once the motor has been installed or battery charged. Motors that meet this criteria must be taken to an authorized service center for repair, which may be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Due to hazmat restrictions, with potential fuel\/oil added to the unit, we are unable to accept returns. All returns must be handled through the manufacturer.
