First, look over your engine before starting. Then, fill it with engine oil, and check its gear lube level. Next, ensure the propeller is included and secure. Lastly, be sure to review your Mercury Marine Limited Warranty, and your Customer Delivery Inspection (CDI) process should be logged on Mercurymarine.com. Failure to comply with the engine break-in procedure can result in severe engine damage not covered by Mercury Marine Limited Warranty. Additional shipping fee may apply. Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's do not accept returns of any Mercury gas motors once gas or oil has been added, or Mercury electric motors once the motor has been installed or battery charged. Motors that meet this criteria must be taken to an authorized service center for repair, which may be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Heavy or bulk items cannot be delivered using traditional shipping methods. Instead, the item will be delivered via truck. Items shipping via truck are curbside delivery, which means there will be a prearranged delivery attempt to your house. However, you will need to make arrangements to have the item delivered from the drop off point to the final destination. Items cannot be delivered inside your house/office . Attempts can only be made Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm. The shipping company will contact you to arrange a delivery time, so a daytime telephone number is required .
